Liam Consejo Ramos, a five year old Minnesota child was used by the US Dept of Homeland Security ICE officers as bait to lure his mother from her home in order to deport or send her to a detention center.  Ultimately Liam and his father, an Ecuadoran Asylum seeker was sent to a detention center in Texas where they were held until a US District Court  judge ordered their release.   In order to draw attention to this act of inhumanity on the part of my government I have created this art quilt based on a bystander's photo of the event.
