While here in Grenada, West Indies I hope to get a few pieces going. There’s something about hummingbirds that so attract me. They’re like flying flowers. The last piece I did was in Barbados and that ia titled Animal Flower, a Bajian reference to the Sea Anemone. I’ll post that in a separate post since this ap seems to have a glitch that won’t let me access it now. This work is drawing on the instruction of textile artists Susan Carlson & Bisa Butler- fabric collages, Romare Beardon - collage, and all the colors of the Caribbean.
