Jean will share her love of watercolor painting. 
The class will encourage experimentation with the watercolor medium and its unique characteristics.
 Initial drawing and painting exercises will serve to loosen  up the mind, eyes and hands.

Over the next two days participants will experiment with various media (papers and watercolor canvas)
 as well as new ways of mixing pigment to achieve subtle tones and textures available only to watercolor.

No experience is necessary but a desire to be fearless in the artmaking process is needed and encouraged.

The lovely grounds of the retreat center will present many inspiriing subjects as it is nestled into the banks
of the Chippewa River.  A screened pavilion will offer relief from the elements. if necessary.

Sunday will culminate with a small wine and cheese reception/review at the Accola Gallery in nearby Durand.
