Vergas Summer Garden Painted at Forest Edge Gallery, Vergas MN while teaching a watercolor workshop. I started this painting with the idea that I was doing a grassy, ferny painting. But it was a beautiful summer day with lovely flower gardens and the painting went its own way, thankfully. Sometimes you need to be open to what the painting 'wants' to be. |

Tiburon Ballena (whale shark) watercolor on paper unframed ~ 11 x 15" To swim with these gentle giants in the Gulf of Mexico was one of life's highlights. To capture the true sense of the underwater world was a challenge, but a good one! |
